Our Fourth of July celebration this year was unlike any other we had experienced and was exactly the type of memory we hoped to create when we embarked on this lifestyle.

Warm weather, sunshine, barbeque, fireworks, family, and an iconic American landscape.

A short hour drive from our tiny home, is Devil’s Tower, America’s First National Monument and the setting for one of the best fireworks displays in the country.  Learn More Here

It was also an opportunity to see our son.

The Devil’s Tower KOA Campground is where he and his bus (Russ the Bus) are parked for the summer for his seasonal position there.

Seeing him happy, smiling, and at peace living the life he wants to live not one based on the expectations of others, is one of the greatest gifts a child can give their parents.

Trey, Andrea, and I, 4th of July 2022, Devil’s Tower, Wyoming

Walking the grounds hearing his stories of workplace fun, adult frustrations, and typical 21-year-old shenanigans brought smiles to our faces.

Sitting outside Russ the Bus, grilling burgers with family, seeing Devil’s Tower looming over us, knowing our son was living his best life, brought us pride.

A little glimpse of “Russ the Bus” and the 4th of July set up.

Raising kids is not easy, there is no instruction manual, but if we could go back to the day all our three children were born, we would only want one thing for them in their adult lives….

For them to be happy!

This 4th of July we got to see happiness in abundance, and we are thankful for the journey our lives are on.

Plus, now our holiday gatherings can take place in more places around the country and maybe even Mexico!
