Alone time in the desert

Andrea enjoying a desert spring day in her hammock listening to birds, cows, and all the nature that surrounds her.

For the first time in two years, Andrea and I decided to take time away from our weekly blog.  It was not because we were tired of it, but more so because life led us in that direction.

I was going to be away for a couple weeks coaching in Montana, while Andrea would remain in the desert taking care of the Queen.

Love have the space and time to really connect with the people in our lives is such a blessing.

For me, being able to combine work with connecting with family allowed me time visiting with my mom, Tom, and family in addition to my courses. At this stage in our lives, having time with minimal distractions was a blessing. It allowed space for us to share stories, ask questions, and appreciate the lives we have created. Hearing my mom laugh more in this time than I ever remember, put a smile on my face and created such deep appreciation for the love her and Tom share!

The girl loves some wildflowers!

Time alone in nature, dirt in her hands and on her feet is a happy place for this momma!

Andrea remained out in Arizona occasionally visiting with Taiya, but mostly enjoying the isolation and quietness the desert provides to do some personal work.

For much of our lives we avoided being alone for long periods of time. The kind of alone where you can hear yourself think, you can dive deep into your truths, untruths, and no longer truths.  In this lifestyle we have come to embrace this time, those conversations, and most importantly the results that come from really being honest with ourselves.  As many “epic landscapes” or “unbelievable hike” moments the full-time travel lifestyle can afford, we also love the pace of this life, the time for reflection and personal growth.

When we returned together, we felt better about our relationship, journey, and where it all heads from here.  Sometimes growing stronger together requires time apart for the growth of the individual.

We have talked about making it an annual thing to see how strong we can grow!

See you all down the road!
