A poem about being present

Our life is made up of nows just like this sunset in Arizona.

Where we are,

Is where we need to be,

For the universe has made it so,

Where we are not, is where we aren’t,

There is no sense daydreaming,

Only stealing another now

You in front of me,

Me in front of you,

To see each other,

Not for who we were,

Nor who we will become,

But for who we are now

When our feet move,

Our now becomes another memory,

A moment never to be had again,

When we stand still and our mind wanders,

Our now is gone as well

In a world full of precious things,

There is one gift you can give that bests them all,

The present of your now,

Be where you are!
