Our Maiden Voyage
One of the factors that excited us most about living full-time in “The Queen” was the ability to mix work with travel.
Our first trip out was just that. A convoy with Missy and her bus to the annual doTERRA convention in Salt Lake City.
We looked forward to not only the positive energy of the company, but the amazing community of people we meet there year after year.
It would also be our first time staying in a campground in the middle of a city. Hello Salt Lake City!!
We would have to negotiate a long drive that culminated in driving through a not so desirable urban setting.
The one goal we had when mapping this first trip was to make sure we avoided the directions that required us to make a U-Turn in a busy intersection.
Murphy’s law struck as usual. Somehow, both, that’s right two mapping systems we were using both took us past the entrance to the campground. Requiring the dreaded city traffic U-turn.
Thankfully growing up right outside Washington D.C. had more prepared me for this challenge and it was uneventful after all.
Since we were connected to electricity the whole week, I was also able to record our podcast and get everything uploaded without visiting a coffee shop for Wi-Fi.
Being able to experience new places while working and still being able to sleep in our own bed every night is an amazing luxury that we feel blessed to live.
