As we have traveled the country for the past four years, one constant has remained: our love for the state park system. Despite the varying registration processes, state parks consistently offer a return to nature, budget-friendly camping, and stunning views of sunrises and sunsets. They provide a perfect balance for full-time travelers like us, especially east of the Mississippi where free camping is limited.
