A Holiday Letter from Our Family to Yours
We want to wish all of you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
This year our family will be celebrating separately for the first time ever. While we are thankful for our children’s independence, we miss having them around at times like this, but we are comforted in knowing they are creating their lives on their own terms.
Family Update
Dreana and her boyfriend, Reed, live in Idaho and most likely will be found doing something bordering on the extreme. We are usually alerted to their newest adventure with a text or picture that leads to the question, “what are they up to now?”. One of their most recent adventures was a motorcycle trip across Mexico, through Central America, ending up in Panama! It is rare to see these two without bright smiles on their faces and they inspire us all to chase more in life.
Trey is in his second year of living and traveling the country in “Russ the Bus”. He has embraced the lifestyle living and working in Wyoming, Montana, and California this year alone. He lives life very loudly, from his laugh, dress, to his infectious smile and personality. If he is nearby, you will definitely know it and you will want to join in! Trey follows his heart wherever it may lead and can be found dancing his way across Tik Tok. Be sure to follow him there for a good laugh or two.
Taiya spent her year in Arizona and Idaho. Coaching gymnastics during the winter, while spending the summer working at a resort, only minutes away from Dreana. We love seeing her step into her natural leadership ability and learning the value in sharing her story as it helps others. We have been blessed to spend quite a bit of time with her over the year. Andrea and Taiya attended a concert in Florida, we celebrated their birthdays in Arizona, and had summer fun in Wyoming. Conversations with Taiya are thought provoking, insightful, and something we really look forward to.
Even though we miss them, seeing the people they are becoming is the best present a parent can receive.
This is also a perfect opportunity for us to create new memories of our first holidays in the desert. Sharing new foods, games, a ukulele, and laughs with new friends while reminiscing over tales of times past.
Thank You and Connect with Us!
We want to thank all of you for your support, encouragement, and well wishes you share with us. It is a blessing to stay connected with the people that helped us raise our family and all those after we became empty nesters! From our heart to yours, THANK YOU
If any of you decide to take a break from the cold and head south to Arizona, be sure to contact us so we can meet up. This spring we will be in Montana and Colorado while spending most the summer back in Wyoming. We would love to have visitors and connect with you all if your travels align.
Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
